Frostburg State University seeks Clinical Education Coordinator

Frostburg State University, Department of Kinesiology and Recreation, seeks applicants to serve as the Clinical Education Coordinator for our undergraduate Athletic Training Program. This full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Instructor/Assistant Professor will begin Fall 2018 and is located on the main campus in Frostburg, Maryland. Salary commensurate with experience; University System of Maryland benefits package included.

Responsibilities: Serve as Clinical Education Coordinator for FSU’s CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program, with responsibility for all aspects of the clinical education component of the Athletic Training major. Duties include, but are not limited to, course instruction in Athletic Training, clinical education placement at affiliated sites, coordination of specific aspects of the Program to satisfy CAATE accreditation standards, supervision of athletic training student clinical academic advising, and instruction in other courses as needed in the department. Faculty members at FSU are expected to actively participate in the University’s student-learning-assessment program. Duties also will include professional development activities and service to the department, College of Education, and community.

Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate from a regionally accredited university in Athletic Training, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Education and Administration, or closely related field required for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates with a firm completion date may be considered for appointment at the rank of Instructor. Current NATABOC certification and experience/familiarity with a CAATE-accredited program. Maryland Athletic Training licensure or eligibility. Previous teaching experience.
