"Doc" Levy, one of the Founders of Sports Medicine passed away Sunday, April 8th. Doc was Nationally renowned as a Sports Medicine physician - working with many professional teams including the New York Giants, New Jersey Nets, and New York Islanders. He was a founder of the sports medicine movement toward active rehabilitation, which became the fundamental principle of his grass-roots sports medicine practice in the mid-1950s. He was a very strong supporter of Athletic Training, and was a true mentor and friend to many ATCs across the Country. Doc will definitely be missed.
