Brewton-Parker College and Optim Healthcare Sports Medicine are seeking applicants for one full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer and Co-Director of the Weight Room starting in the 2016-2017 school year. Brewton-Parker College is composed of around 350 athletes and supports 18 NAIA programs and competes in the Southern States Athletic Conference and the Mid-South Conference. Primary team assignment will be under the Head Athletic Trainer’s discretion.

Responsibilties will include but are not limited to:

Assisting in day to day operations of the Athletic Training Room

Controlling the day to day operations of the Weight Room

Providing primary care for assigned team to include practices, events, and travel

Arrange medical appointments as necessary

Special event coverage as necessary

Daily record keeping including filing appropriate insurance forms and paperwork

Teaching and designing lifting technique and conditioning programs

Comply with all rules and regulations of Brewton-Parker College, Optim Healthcare Sports Medicine, Southern States Athletic Conference, Mid-South Conference, and the NAIA

Other duties assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer

Required qualifications include:

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training (Master’s degree is preferred)

NATABOC certified (prior to start date)

CSCS certified (prior to start date)

State of Georgia License (prior to start date)

CPR/AED certification
