D’Youville College is seeking qualified and motivated applicants for the position of Head Athletic Trainer. This full-time position reports directly to the Director of Athletics and must exhibit commitment to the mission of the college and the athletic department. The position is a 10-month contract (August-May). The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to work with athletes and co-workers in a timely and professional manor.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree in Athletic Training is preferred; certifications and licensures from the National Athletic Trainers Association, Current CPR /AED/First Aid certification is required, preferably as an instructor; several years of experience is preferred.
Primary Job Duties: The head athletic trainer will be in charge of and responsible for the athletic training room on campus and Dobson Field, and the operation and services to student-athletes of D’Youville’s 15 varsity sports. This includes: the evaluation of student-athletes, injury management and prevention, rehabilitation; managing the assets and functionality of the training room, coverage of home games and working with health care providers and team doctor.
